Linux Informer - one of the projects by Informer Technologies Inc. It is designed to keep Linux users informed about the latest trends and developments of software, while providing them with a base for opinion and experience exchange, as well as a a place to belong as part of the social network.

Linux Informer Client – a very useful lightweight utility that creates a full list of the programs installed on the computer (together with their versions), then compares each item on that list with Linux Informer’s database. This is done automatically on a daily basis and is designed to identify newer versions of programs. If applicable, Linux Informer Client notifies you about all available updates.

Note: The client is absolutely free. You are in charge of comprehensive privacy controls and programs you wish to track for updates.
